Dallas Cowboys Game!

Aaron and I got to go to the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium with his sister Cheree and her husband Michael over the weekend. We had to get 3 different babysitters over the course of the night to make it work, but it was worth it. The Cowboys played North Carolina and won 21 to 7, it was such a fun game!

The stadium is huge, it's amazing!
We couldn't believe how big the video screen was. The screen by itself cost more then what it took to build the whole stadium. It was really cool!
We are so excited for Cheree's boys to come, she thinks it will be any day now.

Here come the cowboys!
Look at how packed the stadium was, every seat was filled. They had to turn people away because the stadium was so full.
One of my favorite parts about going to the cowboys games is the fans. They sure love their cowboys! After the game we were following the crowd down the spiral staircase to get to the bottom and the whole way down (which took a long time) the crowd was cheering and yelling "How bout them cowboys!" It was so loud and so cool to see how much Texans love their team.

Texas State Fair!

We went to the Texas State Fair tonight with Aaron's sister Cheree and her family. Here we are in front of Big Tex.
This is Aaron's dream car 2009 Cadillac CTS-V.....a guy can dream.
Every year Aaron's school has a booth at the Fair. This year Aaron will be working in the booth recruiting patients for a few days. I don't think he will have any problem talking to people, lol!
The girls got to play a couple of games and win prizes. They each picked out little doggies.
I asked Emma if she wanted to play this game and she said no, but Chloe thought it was pretty cool that she could actually hit something and not get in trouble.
Myree and Emma on the caterpillar rollercoaster.

On our way home from the fair I asked Chloe what was her favorite part and she said "When I ride the whales." I'm pretty sure that was Aaron's favorite part too. :)
Chloe had too much fun!
At night they had a parade and a fireworks show.

Yep that is my husband getting flowers painted on his nails.

Lions, Tigers and Bears, oh my!

For our last day together with my parents we all went to the Fort Worth Zoo. My Dad hasn't been to the Zoo in 30 years and him and my Mom really enjoyed it. Look at this cute monkey, I feel bad for him.

We had such a great time with my parents and we got to do a lot of fun stuff! It is really hard to live away from family, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we can't wait to move back home. Thank you Mom and Dad so much for flying out to stay with us, the girls miss you so much! See you at Christmas everybody!

Take me out to the Ball Game!

My Dad has never been to a Professional Baseball Game so we thought it would be fun to go the Texas Rangers Game. I'm not big on sports, but it was a cool atmosphere.
And of course Papa Steve got each of the girls their own gigantic cotton candy. Emma gulped it right down and Chloe would just sit and pet it. That girl cracks me up!
Emma really got into the game, we were quite surprised. Who knew she would like it so much....she kept yelling "What a swing!" or "He caught it, he caught it!" Maybe I should put her in T-Ball.

You can see one of the roller-coasters at Six Flags in the background, this is only about 10 minutes from our house, we live in a really cool area.
Even after all that Papa Steve still wanted to go swimming with the girls, they have been looking forward to this all year. They would each grab a hold of one of Papa's arms and he would swing them around the pool, what a great Papa.
We were all exhausted by the end of the day, but we managed to fill up every second. Grandparents are the Best!

All Aboard!

For our first day out we took my parents on the 1920 Vintage Grapevine Railroad Train to the Fort Worth Stockyards. I have never been on a train before, we had so much fun!

Half way to the Stockyards the train got held up by cowboys. Then the Sheriff came on board and handed out Deputy badges to the kids to help catch the cowboys. The girls loved it!

Chloe kept telling Papa Steve to be quiet so we wouldn't wake up the snakes.....who knows where she got that idea, lol!
Once we got to the stockyards there was a bunch of cowboy shops and places to eat, it was a really cool place.

They also had a cattle drive of the Longhorns, they all looked so sad, I felt bad for them.

Grandma Ruthie and Papa Steve spoiled the girls and bought them these purple ponies that they just had to have. It was such a great day, the girls just couldn't get enough of Papa and Grandma.
