Santa's Mailbox and Homemade Presents

This week the girls wrote their letters to Santa and we took them over to Santa's Special mailbox that delivers their letters to the North Pole. Emma said she wanted a new bike with training wheels for her baby sister, isn't that sweet! Chloe said she wanted a bird, strawberries and dolly's.
Money is tight this year so I got some ideas from my crafty friend Sarah and did some homemade gifts. This one is some hand sanitizer that Emma helped me decorate for her Kindergarten Teacher.
These are Cocoa bags I put together for the sisters I visit teach. I also attached this poem with it. http://www.sugardoodle.net/Christmas/Hot%20Cocoa%20poems.shtml
This is a notepad for a friend of mine. It says "Merry Christmas from our "Pad" to yours."

I made these church bags for the girls for Christmas.
This is a Quiet time Gospel ABC book for the girls to play with during sacrament meeting.

This is an I Spy bottle. I also made a little picture flip book of the different items that are in the bottle for the girls to find.
This is a catch glove game for the girls to share.

It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. I hope the girls like their stuff.....

Ice Ice Baby!

For Family Night on Monday we had the opportunity to take the kids to the Ice show at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine. The theme is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and everything is made out of ice. The carvers spend a month of 12 hour shifts transforming 2 million pounds of ice into these awesome displays. It was amazing!
They keep it at 9 degrees so it is freezing! They give you these big blue coats to put on top of the coat you are already wearing. Chloe kept falling over and she couldn't get up, we couldn't stop laughing cuz she looked like Randy on The Christmas Story.

"Honey does this coat make me look fat?" Hahahahaha

The girls loved the slide room.
Chloe wouldn't lean back so she went really sloooow.

Slumber Party!

Over the weekend Emma and Chloe invited their cousin Myree over for a slumber party. They had a movie night with pizza and rootbeer floats and in the morning we made gingerbread houses and had a picnic at the park. They have so much fun together and they're such goofballs.

Bouncing Madness!

Our mall recently opened up a bounce house place and it is awesome! It has six huge bounce houses for the kids to play on, so today I surprised the girls and their cousin Myree with a trip to the Bounce 4 Fun and they played for hours.
The slide bounce house was their favorite.

Doesn't this make you wish you were a kid again? I wanted so badly to play with them, but was afraid I would pop a bounce house.

Glamour Chloe and Dolly too

The other day I found that Chloe had gotten into Emma's makeup. Chloe is such a girly girl, she loves makeup, dress up and anything princess.
She did a pretty good job, don't ya think? Lol!
She does look cute!
We are just loving our new little dog Dolly. She is such a little fur ball and wags her tail about a mile a minute, so cute!

Halloween and Family

This last week Aaron's Mom and sister Sheena flew out from Utah to spend some time with us and see the twins. And look what they brought us.....

The newest addition to our family, Dolly! She is a toy Shih-Tzu and is about 5 months old and is the cutest little thing. The girls love her and Lola tries to mother her, we just love her! Thank you Mom and Sheena for flying her all the way from Utah for us!

We spent a lot of our time just holdin' the babies. Mom and I wouldn't really share the boys, but can you blame us?

My girls look so much like their Aunt Sheena that she gets mistaken for their Mommy all the time.

All 5 Grandchildren together.

For Halloween we went to our Ward Carnival which had hay rides, bounce houses, games, face painting, and lots of candy.

At the ward party people would ask Aaron what he was and he said "I have no idea!"

We took Aunt Sheena to the Dallas World Aquarium, it was awesome! We miss you Mom and Sheena, come back soon!

Double Blessings!

It has been an eventful weekend for us. Friday night we carved pumpkins, everybody looks forward to this because Aaron roasts the pumpkin seeds and they taste so good!

Aarons sister Cheree finally had her twin boys on Friday. Emma and her cousin Myree are singing a duet of "When He Comes Again" in sacrament meeting tomorrow, so after their Primary Practice this morning we all drove into Dallas to meet my cute brand new nephews Aiden and Ashton. They are just so cute, I didn't want to give em back.....I want a boy!

After the hospital we had to run back to Emma's school for her Fall Carnival. The girls got their faces painted and got to play some games. Now Aaron and I are looking forward to a Denny's breakfast dinner and dollar movie date night. All in all a great weekend! :)
