The Greatest News Ever!

So last week as my friend and I were leaving the gym I got a call from my Dad. He said, "How would you like a visit?" I was so caught off guard that I just started crying. I haven't seen my family since Christmas and it has been really hard missing out on all the birthday parties, sunday dinners, and weekends at the cabin. But most important to me is having my girls grow up with their cousins and spending time at Grandmas. So I was so happy when my Dad told me that him and my Mom are going to fly out next month and stay for a whole week!! I can't wait to see them and have them spend time with Emma and Chloe. This must have started a trend because now my brother Josh and his cute wife McCall are going to fly out and spend their UEA vacation with us in October. I have never been more excited!!

My Dad and Emma in Cabo San Lucas Mexico last Christmas.
My Mom, can't wait to see her!
My older brother Joshy.
McCall and Emma in Mexico, can't wait to hang out with her and Joshy, they're so much fun!

My crazy family who I miss so much! Hopefully I will get to see them all soon.

Mischievous Chloe

So this morning I was getting ready and I was wondering why is it so quiet! I went looking for Chloe and asked Emma where she was and she didn't know either. We started calling her name and still heard nothing. Then I saw this little foot poking out from behind the rocking chair and lo and behold there was Chloe with my favorite Clinique Raspberry Glace lipstick. She had smothered it all over her lips and turned the lipstick as high as would go and smooshed the lid on top. Sigh.... She was so proud of herself.

Happy 4th of July!

I love the 4th of July, there is always lots of fun family stuff to do. We took the girls to a parade in the morning and they got so much candy! They had 3 bags full, it was more then they get on Halloween, it was crazy.

If you think Utah is hot, you haven't experienced Texas humidity and heat of 107. Aaron took this picture to show how hot it was, we sweat a lot, but after 3 summers in Texas we are finally used to it. Wow 3 summers, I can't believe it has already been that long....one more to go and then we finally get to go back home to Utah!

After the parade we went to our friends house for a pool party. Emma and I made this 4th of July cake, she did all the blueberries and strawberries and she was so proud of herself.
Later at night we went to the Lonestar Park where they have live horse races, children's fair and fireworks. The girls loved riding the ponies!

Gotta love Texas!

While we were waiting for the fireworks to start the girls were playing with bubbles. I love these next two pictures! Chloe was so happy and proud of herself once she figured out how to blow bubbles by herself.

Here are the girls playing with their glow sticks during the fireworks show.
This was the coolest firework show we had ever seen! It was 20 minutes long and they choreographed it to music, it was amazing!
