Vegas/St. George Getaway!

For Valentines weekend we went on a getaway to Las Vegas and St. George with my brother Josh and his wife McCall. We stayed one night at the Excalibur which was lots of fun!

We got to Vegas late, but decided to walk around the hotel and casino anyways. We were all pretty tired and Josh tried to capture our exhausted faces with his iphone, alas McCall cracks me up, she is too funny that I couldn't keep my straight tired face without laughing. :)
Before.....
After.... yeah we lost it all

We got to spend one day walking the strip before heading to McCall's family condo in St. George.
They wanted $30 for this photo, yeah right! Josh and Aaron were sneaky and took a picture of our picture with their iphones. Little croping and there you go.
St. George was a blast as always. This was our 2nd trip down there with Josh and McCall, they're so much fun to hang out with. We went hot tubbing, played couples tennis, wii mariokart (which is really hard!), sat outside reading enjoying the sunshine and getting sun burns and did a little hiking plus I got the largest ice cream cone I have ever seen and this was a Small!!

Josh and McCall somehow convinced us to shimmy our way through this crack between two rock walls, I was amazed we fit! It was a little scary....
This is right after we squeezed through the crack, that crack under my leg, yeah that was it.
A Little Mermaid, couldn't resist :)
Some cool cave with a fireplace inside. Such a Great trip and the weather was like 70 degrees!

My Texas Girls!

I am so lucky to have been blessed with such Great friends! My Texas Girls are amazing, for my Birthday they all chipped in on a plane ticket for me to fly out and spend a weekend with them. It couldn't have come at a better time. We had a miscarriage and a trip to Texas with the support of my friends and some time to relax, have fun and get away from it all was just what I needed.
We went out to eat, went to the movies, did some shopping and just had some much needed girl time.
But the highlight of the trip for me was our sleepover. We stayed up till 5:30 in the morning and then got up around 9:00 to start the rest of our day. I am definitely too old to do that anymore, we were all like zombies the next day, but it was worth it we had a blast! We played the Scene It game for all three Twilight movies, of course! What's a girls night without some Twilight! Then we rocked out on Rock Band and to finish it off we all made our own individual blankets. Granted I don't know how to sew, but I was lucky Miss Sarah helped me out and whipped it out in no time. I still have some finishing touches so I will post pictures of the finished product later.

I made sure my flight didn't leave till after church. I was so excited to visit my old ward and to see everybody. It was such a Great trip, thank you My Texas Girls for being so sweet and for making it happen. Love you!
