1st Day of School

I know, I know, this is so late, but better late then never, right?  Emma started 3rd grade this year, so crazy!  We went back to school shopping and I had the girls pick out a couple of new outfits to start the year off, Emma has reached that stage where she doesn't want me picking out her clothes anymore, she wants to do it herself.  It's fun for me to see what type of clothes and styles she likes.  Like this cute little number with plaid skirt and tie.  So cute!  She wanted this outfit so bad and even though it was a lot more money then I would usually spend on an outfit I couldn't say no to her, she was so excited about it and she looks adorable.

Chloe had a hard time having to wait a week after Emma started school to go to Kindergarten.  She insisted on wearing her backpack while walking Emma to school.

Emma's best friends Alexis and Chloe, such sweet girls.

Chloe really enjoyed walking to pick up Emma from school everyday, she wore this cape on the way and kept the streets safe.

Finally a week later it was Chloe's turn.  I took her out front for the traditional 1st day photos and told her to say cheese and she starts doing all these random poses....hahaha what's up with these?

Here is a normal one, but I think I like the silly ones better :)

Such a big girl now.  She loved her 1st day, she went to bed chanting, 'I have school tomorrow, I have school tomorrow.'  She loves finally being able to go to the same school as Emma.  Kids grow up too fast.

Her teacher is fabulous!  She invited the parents to stay while she read this cute story about a Mommy and baby raccoon and his first day of school and how when she dropped him off they gave eachother kisses in the palm of their hands so throughout the day when they got lonely they could put their hand to the cheek and get a kiss from eachother.  I was tearing up at this point and then she sent all the kids over to their parents to give them a kiss on their palm.  Such a fun idea especially since it seemed like the parents were having a harder time leaving then the kids.  She sent us out the door with a kiss on our hand and hershey kiss to eat.  Awesome teacher!  So proud of my Cholebug for being so brave.
