Delta 4th of July Celebration

Summer is going way too fast this year! Life has been so crazy busy Im just waiting for things to slow down, if ever. It's weird, when Emma's last day of school came I was worried about summer and how I was going to keep my girls entertained for every day for 3 months. But seriously we haven't had one day for the girls to even nag at me saying "Im bored", we haven't had one free weekend where we could ask "What shall we do today?" This summer has definitely been different, in the past summers were about sleeping in, being lazy, vacations and this summer was booked up before it ever began. Granted I think it's because we are back in Utah with family and so there is always stuff going on and Aaron's business keeps us both busy, but oh what I would give for a quiet day at home.
Okay so there is my rambling, I just had to vent. Anyways, for the 4th of July we were so excited to be able to spend it back in Delta like we used to. Delta is where Aaron grew up and it is a small town with one traffic light and they put on an awesome 4th of July every year. The weather was great, it was overcast and perfect. Everyone else kept complaining that it was too hot, but after living through several Texas summers Aaron and I were quite enjoying ourselves. I keep waiting for it to get hotter, and then I realize wait, this is Utah where 90 is the high, wahoo! My mother in law kept saying how humid it was and I was laughing at her cuz in Texas the humidity is 3 times worse. We would step outside and it would curl Chloe's hair for me I never had to use any product.
We started with the parade of course. Aaron was in band in high school and was the Drum Major and got to lead the band and he gets so excited when the band comes through he just had to jump in there with him. One time we visited Delta and went to a football game and Aaron is still good friends with the band teacher and he had Aaron take over the drums during the game and he was in heaven.
Chloe with Aunt Sheena. Whenever we go out with Aunt Sheena, people always ask her if my girls are her kids, they could easily pass for hers and Grandma Loene has started telling me how much Chloe reminds her of Aunt Sheena more every day....not so sure that is a good thing or a bad thing, haha just kidding Sheena, we love you!
Pony rides for only $1 and they let them go forever, versus Draper Days yesterday which was $3.50 for like one ride around, lame.

Wagon rides for only $1, awesome! The girls loved it! It was really bouncy and rocks side to side.

You can't go to a fair without getting cotton candy, or in this case two.
Cotton candy beards :) We weren't able to get tickets to the Derby this year and we did our own fireworks. Can't wait for next year!
